OlyAdmit AI Consent

To power your AI counselor and editing features, OlyAdmit transmits your chat messages, essay drafts, and relevant profile data to our enterprise AI provider, Vercel AI Gateway. OlyAdmit utilizes a dual-model architecture: the llama-3.1-8b model powers our Atlas chat endpoints for low-reasoning tasks, while the gpt-oss-120b model powers the Athena essay editor for medium-reasoning tasks. Vercel AI Gateway routes all inference requests exclusively to AWS Bedrock through single-provider routing using Vercel-managed API keys.

Vercel AI Gateway processes your data under a strict Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy. We enforce this by exclusively selecting and routing requests to models that natively guarantee ZDR. The inference provider for both models is AWS Bedrock, which functions as Vercel's sub-processor and is contractually prohibited from retaining prompts, storing outputs, or using your data to train or fine-tune public models. Your data is never used to train or fine-tune public models.

When you use the service, the following data is transmitted to Vercel AI Gateway for analysis:

• Profile Context: We conditionally transmit relevant portions of your profile to provide highly personalized counseling, which may include graduation year, GPA, interests, ethnicity, family background, residency, test scores, recent grades, activities, career goals, and current date metadata. (Note: We never transmit your first name, last initial, school name, or birthday).
• Chat History: A unified cross-page chat history utilizing a five-message rolling window is transmitted for all Atlas endpoints. This history is automatically filtered to remove sensitive-category messages before transmission.
• Athena Essay Editor Data: The Athena editor covers all essay types (Common App, college supplementary, and scholarship applications). When using Athena, your specific essay content, along with dynamic essay type and word limit parameters, is transmitted alongside your profile context.

Note on Age Verification: OlyAdmit offers an opt-in, voluntary age verification option on your profile page. This voluntary process is entirely non-punitive, and failing it will not result in account deletion.
